Penumbra began as an idea and a challenge. The idea was that a speculative fiction ezine paying pro rates would be a great venue for up and coming talent and veteran writers alike. The challenge was finding a way to make that workable.
That challenge begins—and continues—today.
When Musa Publishing was formed, we immediately determined that we wanted to launch Penumbra simultaneously. We intend for Musa to produce the highest quality speculative fiction, with pro authors alongside new talent and with the strongest package we are capable of. Our goals for Penumbra are the same. As we grow, so will Penumbra—and hopefully, so will you.
